This month’s fiber is Cheviot. This puffy, crimpy medium wool with a micron count of about 30 and a staple length of about 4″. It’s got a  helical crimp, as opposed to a zigzag one, which makes the fiber and finished yarn super bouncy. Use this for outer sweaters, socks, and mittens- anything that will see a lot of wear.
