You have so got to be kidding me! “just leave off the ears and face!” I would no more leave off the ears and face than I would…well, not knit this for EVERYONE (certainly in my family)! Thank you so much!

I’m only knitting this if it comes with the baby!
(and only if that baby is the baby boogster. she’s my favorite.)

Oh thanks so much. I was waiting for it for a baby shower, but had to use EZ’s heart hat instead because it was today. Next baby that shows up gets it! I love the decreases in the back.

OK, i’m a lame brain. I have Wendy’s instructions on figure 8 cast on & after 4 tries, i got it. I can also see how citical to the design this cast on is. The part i can’t get past is right after the fig 8 cast on, going to circular. I am so stuck-can your offer any suggestions to this dummy?

I’m stuck on the same thing as Carol… help?
Also, I’m a bit confused by the cast on instructions. If we cast on 40 (baby size) in the figure-8 style, won’t we start with 80 st (40 on top needle and 40 on bottom)? This doesn’t make sense once we get to Round 2 (base count of 40 st in the instructions), or the final increase number (88 for baby).
I tried counting the stitches in the photograph… that looks like 20, not 40.

I’m having the same problems as Carol and Korinthe. Any photo instructions on how to go from the figure 8 cast on to the round.
Korinthe- the instructions start off with 40 total stitches, meaning 20 on one needle and 20 on the other.

That is the cutest Totoro bonnet I’ve ever seen. I’m really interested in anime knit patterns. Does anyone know where I could find a pattern fro Renoa’s ankle length sweater from Final Fantasy VIII? Please email me at spider_wine_bloodlust@yahoo.com.
