Many thanks go to Twosheep for the warp meter instructions I found there. I had their instructions in hand while shopping and just couldn’t find the parts needed, plus didn’t have an old lamp base, etc. It’s a real sob story. :P Remembering the swanky Schacht yarn meter I almost bought, I made this one. It works great and is so accurate!

ETA:
Here are the same instructions in web page form.

That rocks! I love how it’s all neon. You should totally splatter-paint the 2×4 to match.

Ardian I received my yarn today. It is very lovely. Now I have to decide what it will be. Your last name looks Maltese. Is it? I’m 1/2 Maltese. My grandparents on my father’s side were from Malta.

Thanks for this tutorial! I love the colors of yours; I haven’t gotten the rubber parts for mine. I had trouble getting the handle off even after removing the screw, so I put it in the freezer–figured it was the opposite of running a stubborn jar under hot water. Once the condensation melted, the handle came out easily.
