Nummy nummy nummy.

Pippi, lookit! 2 ply!
The shop has been updated with a little fiber, yarn, spinning kits, and 4 skeins of sock yarn. I got a lot done this week!
And now I’m exhausted. I’m halfway through an office/yarn room overhaul and will try to finish that up today. I scored at Target and got a ton of smallish rubbermaid tubs for 75 cents each. There will be organization! I want to photograph my stash and create an album online in an attempt to keep track of it. I will share so people can marvel at what a yarn psycho I am.
In pissy news, the only good local pizza place burned to the ground and the insurance company of the asshat who smashed into our car is trying to get out of paying to fix it, saying that both parties are at fault. Hardly!
I love this pattern! Ruffles from Scarf Style is my new favorite thing on earth.

How could it not be? It’s quick to knit (1 ball down, 3 to go), has an addictive, easy to memorize pattern, and as it starts to grow, does crazy things all on its own. The yarn I chose, Karabella Aurora 8, is definitely “splitty”, as Lisa said in yesterday’s comments. In certain lights, the color pink I chose looks kind of dingy, too. I kept looking at my hands last night, thinking I was dirtying the yarn as I knit. It feels soooo gorgeous, though.
I did a swap with Sarah of The Small Object for a book she made, called Albear Takes on New York City. Holy crap, it is the coolest thing ever! Sarah is also just the best. She included the cutest postcards, which I’m using up rapidly, and a little print of teeth that will soon live in our bathroom. There should be a couple of Albear books for sale in her shop soon. You’d be lucky to have one.
Oh, crud. I left a whole sentence out of the new sock pattern. If you have already printed it out, make sure it has the correction to the toe section that’s highlighted in dark blue.
I need a proofreader!
