Well! There was yarn-making this weekend.

There are 800+ yards of bulky weight Merino 2 ply from Crockpot dyed top. It’s from the little nests of prepared fiber from my last post.
Today I am going to do something with this mohair:

I spent quite a bit of time Saturday dyeing cotton, which I now officially hate. I do not like the feel of the fiber. I do not like dyeing it. It’s back to acid dyes for me for awhile.

This thing is the best invention ever. It’s a little teapot for loose tea that drops the tea into your cup when you place it on top. SO COOL! The best part is, thanks toa heads up by The Rocket Scientist, I got it for free. They have a linking rewards program and evidently my Google ranking was good enough to get me a whole set of goodies. I had such fun making tea this weekend that I’m off to buy tons in a moment. They have a large selection of white teas, which are my favorites. The Fruit Medley tea, which came in my set, is wonderful. It has actual pieces of dried fruit in it. YUM. Check them out.
Things are dreary around here! The mister caught the flu last Friday and still isn’t right. Knitting and spinning production is down due to much coddling.
I did finish up some lovely two ply red yesterday:

~600 yards of bulky of Merino wool
I also added another photo to the woolly wallpapers.

This will be my spinning project for the next couple of days.
On a grumpy note, Interweave can’t seem to do anything right by me. My subscription to Knits ran out without so much as a warning. I renewed and have received the Winter issue twice now. Same with the Winter Spin-Off. I email and email and they assure me they’re fixing my problem, but the next week another bizarre, unwanted issue always shows up on my doorstep. I still don’t have a copy of the Spring Knits of my very own. I don’t want to buy the damn thing because I subscribe, for crying out loud. Does everyone else have these same problems with them? It’s almost like a joke, only less funny.
This is mainly for my mom, but maybe some of you would like to see my dog doing silly things?
*Shambles the snow plow*
*he’s pleased with the results*
My shop update is so pitiful this week. I mean, the yarns are lovely, but there aren’t very many of them! I have the most wonderful red two ply 3/4 of the way done, but I just couldn’t finish it in time. I guess that means next week there’ll be even more to choose from.
Want to see what I did get done?

*you can buy it*
There’s also a coordinating chartreuse cousin.
I think I improved upon the color fading yarn from last week with this one:

*you can buy this, too*
I made more mixes in between the solids so it graduates even more slowly.
Knitting:
I really need to do some so I have something to talk about here in between shop updates! I’ve got this printed out and am thinking I need it in Classic Elite 03 Tweed in charcoal, of which I just happen to have a bag. The yarn is really light and airy, but nice and floppy(good drape for a shawl, I think). I watched Witness over the weekend and really liked the way Kelly McGillis looked in her Amish shawl. I’m laughing as I type that, but it’s true! I already dress like a farmer. It’s not a huge leap to Amish, I guess.
