stats:
100% Blue Faced Leicester wool
heavy worsted weight
373 yards and 11 oz. total
This is going to be the last yarn I add to the site for a few days. I’m going to stockpile the yarn I make over the weekend and hopefully do a big update early next week. I am also going to be upgrading my web hosting package, which could possible put the site out of commission for a few hours. I’ll try to do it in the middle of the night so no one will even notice. I would hate to disrupt anyone’s yarn shopping!
Oh! I added a special yarn spinning kit to the fibers page. I plan on doing more of these in the future.
Have a good weekend, everyone! Stay warm.
I managed 4 giant skeins of Candy Floss before my eyes crossed and I felt like I was going to have a seizure from watching the yarn bounce around on its way into the orifice of my spinning wheel. Making the giant slubs is so much fun that I had to finally force myself to stop.
It’s gorgeous, though, isn’t it? (Yes, that’s snow on the yarn. When will this nightmare end???)

318 yards total in 4 fat skeins
Merino wool, tencel, silk, soy silk, mohair, and sparkle with rayon thread
supersuperfat knitting weight
US 19 needles, at least
2 skeins would make a fancy scarf, or use one and make yourself a cowl to end all cowls. Use all of them for something amazing!!
I didn’t even come close to using up all the fiber I prepared for this, so there could always be more.
This is my spinning for today:

Sometimes the fiber is just as gorgeous as the yarn! I added a couple of these to the Woolly Wallpapers, since the photos came out well.
There is a ton of stuff in those mixed batts: tencel, soy silk, tussah silk, white Merino, space-dyed Merino, mohair, and a bit of opalescent nylon sparkle. It’s as soft as it looks.
This is my first time using soy silk. I dyed it on the stovetop with acid dyes and it took the dye strangely. It’s weird stuff! It’s super soft and silky, though, so a good addition to the yarn.
I managed one more skein of Interplanetary yesterday and added it to the shop. Today I spin the sweetness above and then I’m back on the case of the 2 ply yarns.
My new wheel is on its way!
