Ahhhhh.

This yarn is made from un-carded Cotswold wool curls, plied with a thin strand of this wool. It’s still a little damp, so I’ll add it to the store tomorrow.
I finally feel like I can relax a bit. I have added a bunch of new yarns to the store. It looks all nicely filled up, so I am going to go back to my happy personal knitting for a bit. Christmas is coming! Punk rock wristbands must be knit!
More yarny goodness:

I love to spin coil yarns! In preparation for spinning more, I just spent a tidy sum on fancy threads. As soon as money hits my PayPal account, it goes back out.
I swear, if it’s not one crappy thing, it’s another with my knitting lately. I started a sock last night on my new Addi Turbo size 1 circular. I have always used bamboo dpns for socks, but I have discovered I love Magic Loop knitting. I was cruising along when I discovered the fabric didn’t feel quite as tight as I like. Turns out Addi size 1 needles fall between a size 1 and 2 in US sizing. The horror! It creates quite a difference in the finished sock. See? How crummy is that? The narrower sock is superior in fabric and size. Grr.

I made some very happy yarn yesterday. The rest isn’t dry enough to even photograph. I can barely stand the wait! There will be coils and icy wintery colors!
I don’t know it you can see it, but I am giving Rowan the stink-eye. I came across a completely useless skein of Rowanspun while knitting Hugh last night. Every few feet, there are very easily broken thin spots in the yarn. I kept thinking “This one will be the last one”, every time I found one, but about 10 knots later and only a few inches into the sleeve, I had to give up. I really, really hope this is the only bad ball. I also really, really hope the yarn I have already used isn’t similarly weak. If my sweater starts to fall apart as I wear it, I think I’ll have a nervous breakdown.
