Your fiber and yarn have been rinsed in cool water until the water is clear. Additionally, your yarn has been washed in a wool wash.
Your yarn and fiber is best washed in cool water and laid flat to dry. This prevents shrinking and felting and dye loss.
Please be aware that heat can dissociate dye bonds as well as form them. The dyes have been set on your yarn and fiber, but they can be un-set. Hand dyers use what are called washfast and lightfast dyes, but the degree of fastness depends on the color. Deep colors, especially blues and reds, are more easily disassociated. Washing in cool water helps prevent this.
Do not use detergents, but do use wool wash. I use Eucalan and heartily recommend it. Soak is good, and I’m sure there are others that are great.
