Hello Yarn Handspun Yarns....Information

How to Order:

* Our shop has a dynamic shopping cart that accepts credit cards, PayPal, and checks/money orders securely. Here is a typical category page. Other categories are listed in the left hand column. You can see the products available in each category as thumbnail photos with prices underneath them. Click the thumbnail to be taken to a product's ordering page. You'll find information on the chosen product and a button for adding it to your shopping cart. Products added to the cart stay in there for 30 minutes, so you're free to browse without worrying that your item will be purchased by someone else. Click on the blue Checkout button in the left hand column when you have found everything you want to purchase. Take note that the Checkout button is not available unless something has been added to your cart. If you decide not to purchase items placed in your cart, be a dear and visit the checkout page to clear them so another may purchase them.

* If you wish, you may create an account, which saves your shipping address and keeps track of your past orders. An account is not necessary for ordering, but it sure is handy. All information is kept secure with a password only you know. We don't even have access to your password.

* Yarn sells quickly (usually in a matter of hours) around here, so please note shop update times and be prompt if you wish to order. Some yarn category pages have links to galleries of sold out yarns. These galleries are provided for your enjoyment and so that you may see what types of yarns Sarah and I have spun in the past. They are not for ordering yarns. We both make one-of-a-kind yarns, so once a yarn is sold, it's gone for good.

* I don't spin much anymore, due to time constraints, unfortunately. I started this shop solely to sell my handspun yarns, but it had to evolve so that I might actually make a living from it. I hope you understand. Sarah of Maisy Day Handspun is wonderfully filling the gap with her lovely handspun yarns.

About Us:

* Adrian Bizilia is the fiber fiend behind Hello Yarn. She is a trained artist who's been obsessed with making stuff her whole life. Upon rediscovering knitting a few years ago, she became unsatisfied with commercially available yarn, and the rest is history.

* Mark Bradley, her husband, is a pro at winding skeins and hanging stuff up to dry.

Your Wool:

* Hello Yarn is located in a house with a dog. He's as non-allergenic as a dog can be (wiry-haired terrier) and kept away from the wool, but I thought I'd put it out there. No one smokes in my house (it's handy because when we send friends outside to smoke, we make them take the dog out for a pee break at the same time) and everything is kept tidy and sparkling clean in plastic tubs.

Extra Services:

* Is your purchase a gift? Put the recipient's address in the Shipping Address section and let me know in the special requests box during checkout and I'll make everything pretty with tissue and stickers and an awesome card. I'll send the receipt to you separately. This service is free.

* Want your yarn wound into center-pull balls? Tell me in the special requests box during checkout. This service is free, also. Don't worry if you forget to ask. Just email us after the fact.

* Need a gift certificate? They're now available in the shop.. I'll send a paper certificate for online use, along with some fun treats, to the recipient. If you're in a super hurry or wish to save on shipping, email us and we'll arrange to email the gift certificate to the recipient. They'll miss out on the box of treats, but at least it will get there on time!

Payment:

* We accept credit cards through an SSL secure server. If you wish to pay by credit card, use the shopping cart built into the website to make your purchase. It's so very easy and safe, and the fastest way to get your order. The charge will appear as a payment to "Hello Yarn" on your credit card statement. All of this is safely and securely automated by the credit card processor. We never even have access to your credit card number.

* If your credit card is declined, check to make sure your address matches the one on your credit card statement. Most of the time, the address is the culprit. Please don't be angry with us if your card is declined. Your credit card company is the one doing the declining.

* We also accept PayPal, if you prefer. You'll be able to select this option during checkout. If you don't have funds in your PayPal account and don't have a credit card attached, you'll be paying with something called an eCheck, which will take 3-4 business days to clear. Your order won't ship until then. You can log into your PayPal account to keep tabs on the payment's status and you'll receive a shipment email from us when your package goes out.

* 5% tax will be added to orders of fiber, equipment, patterns, and needles for MA residents. There's no tax on yarn no matter where you are. Happiness!

* If you wish to pay by personal check or money order, select that option in the shopping cart. Payment instructions will be given on the finalized order page. Payment must be received within 7 days. Checks are held until they clear.

About the Site:

* I built this whole thing myself using Squirrelcart for my shopping cart and self-hosted Wordpress for my blog. I still build the rest of the pages, for patterns and such, with Frontpage (the horror!) and the whole shebang is hosted by A Small Orange. Security is provided by Geotrust via Rapid SSL. I'm pleased with them all, despite the fact that I'm useless with all of this stuff and the programs/software all had such steep learning curves that tears are regularly shed.

Return Policy:

* For yarn and fiber, we will refund your money, minus shipping, if you are not fully satisfied. Just email us within 7 days and be sure your goods are in their original condition. We don't want anyone to be sad- EVER. In fact, we've got a 100% happy track record so far.

* We do not accept returns of Louet equipment unless there was a mistake in your order or it arrives damaged or is faulty, in which case it will be promptly replaced. If your order arrives damaged, and you can see from looking at it unopened, please refuse delivery. If it is damaged upon opening, please save all the wrapping, keeping it as intact as possible, and email us as soon as possible so we can start the replacement procedure. If your Louet equipment ever develops a problem, please contact us. Even the smallest part can be replaced.

* Our lips are sealed! We will not sell or trade the information we collect from you with anyone. Your phone number may be given to UPS or USPS, to aid in the delivery of your order, but that's it.
